Augmented reality
for astronomy

DynamicDeepSKY designs the Astroid AR software platform, smart astronomy cameras, and AR-ready telescopes and mounts — technology that changes the way we look at the night sky.

What we build

Products & services

DynamicDeepSKY is an Augmented Reality (AR) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) company specialised in astronomy. We deliver a range of products that bring AR and AI technology to observers, imagers and equipment manufacturers.

01

AR software platform

Astroid, the first AR-dedicated software platform for astronomy — instant sky recognition, a web-based 3D planetarium, and observing tools on any device with a browser.

02

Astronomy cameras

Smart cameras powered by Astroid — digital finder, polar alignment and stand-alone EAA with built-in stacking, enhancement and registration.

03

Telescopes & mounts

AR-enhanced instruments, from a 10″ Dobsonian with a built-in AR focuser to precision manual mounts for payloads up to 30 kg.

04

OEM solutions

Astroid is available as an OEM platform for astronomy equipment manufacturers — bring instant sky recognition to your own devices.

Platform

Astroid — the AR platform for astronomy

Astroid is built around visual, interest-driven astronomy: instant sky recognition, visual enhancement and practical observing tools that make the night sky accessible without hours of setup. It runs on desktop, Raspberry Pi, ARM and Rockchip boards, making it an AR solution for virtually any astronomical device.

Astroid web interface: integrated 3D planetarium with live camera view
The Astroid web interface — 3D planetarium and live camera in a single view.

Web interface

No app, no installation. Open a browser on a phone, tablet or PC, type 10.10.10.10, and the full 3D planetarium is available.

Augmented reality

Instant sky recognition identifies objects near the telescope's view and guides the way to any target with enhanced visuals.

eFinder

Real-time blind plate solving turns any manual telescope — including large Dobsonians and binoculars — into a digital instrument with instant guiding.

EAA Stacker

Live stacking shows objects up to 100× brighter than the naked eye. Automatic star tracking works even without a motorised mount.

Dr. Pole

Polar alignment in 30 seconds to a few minutes — three clicks, no star selection, no computer, and no need for the pole star to be in view.

AR Zoom

Gigabytes of pre-recorded deep-space imagery enhance the live view, keeping faint and small objects interesting even through modest optics.

Any browser is the control room

Camera, planetarium and telescope control run in Chrome, Safari or Firefox over the camera's integrated WiFi — no laptop required in the field.

Development is ongoing, with new features released regularly. Follow releases on YouTube.
